One of the first productions I participated in was at the 2012 Lamplighter Guild. The Lamplighter Guild is an incredible opportunity to learn things like acting, writing, sound design, and music composition from some of the biggest names in Christian audio drama and from around the world!
Every year (as far as I know) the students produce a project to use the skills they have been learning over the course of the week. I was so grateful to be included in the acting of this particular production. It's a silly story, but so much fun to do. Hope you enjoy this blast from the past, and check out some of their other productions while you are at it!
If you know even a little bit about me, you probably know that I love audio drama. It is one of the absolute best mediums for telling stories, and if you want to know why, the link to the following episode is a good reason why! Any current involvement I have with audio drama is almost entirely due to the inimitable JD Sutter, and incidentally, he is also the one to whom I owe the creation of this website! JD has graciously had me on as a cohost several times for audio drama reviews and as a contributor to the ATC blog, and with the celebration of the 200th episode, it seemed appropriate to link to it! If you want to know why I love audio drama and why you should too, this episode is probably the most comprehensive answer from the most authoritative people in the space. https://www.audiotheatrecentral.com/2024/06/atc200-milestone-celebration-with-industry-guests.html
